- Workshop proposals must be original and should not have been published or presented at any conferences prior to IPOS 2026.
- All workshop proposals must be submitted before 1 July 2026 through the online workshop submission platform.
- Workshop proposals must be submitted in ENGLISH.
- All workshop proposals will be reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee, which reserves the right to accept or reject submissions and to determine the presentation format.
- Reviewing results will be emailed to the author who submitted the workshop proposal by August 2026.
- Workshop presenters who plan on attending the full congress must register and pay to attend to Congress by 1 October 2026.
- By submitting your workshop proposal, you give permission to IPOS to publish it in the workshop section of the Congress abstract book.

Psycho-oncology researchers and clinicians are invited to submit proposals to host Psychosocial Academy Pre-Congress Workshops . All workshops will be held on 9 November 2026.
Workshops can be offered in person only. The Academy shall feature a faculty of world-renown psycho-oncologists and offer both 90-minute, half- and full-day courses to train cancer care professionals in practical psychosocial, behavioral and palliative care methods.
Workshops should impart clinically relevant skills or specific methods in qualitative and quantitative psychosocial oncology research. The selection committee will give preference to proposals that address the Congress theme, as well as those that might appeal to a variety of disciplines. Successful past IPOS workshops have explored topics (as they relate to cancer) including screening, survivorship, quality of life assessment, spirituality, psychotherapy, palliative care, parenthood and alternative medicine.
Workshops should
- Be evidence-based
- Be interactive
- Employ a variety of teaching modalities
- Focus on teaching skills or concepts that can be comfortably grasped in the prescribed timeframe
Note
- Pre-congress workshops can be either 90-minutes, 3-hours (half day) or 6 hours (full day) in length. Space has been allocated for up to eight concurrent workshops.
- Presenters should not submit the same topic for a workshop and an abstract.
Once the workshop is submitted, to make corrections to the content or information (prior to the submission deadline) contact the Technical Secretariat at ipos2026@bcocongresos.com. In the case of errors in your workshop discovered after the deadline, you may indicate the correction on your presentation during the congress. If you want to withdraw a workshop already submitted, please notify us as quickly as possible stating the workshp to be withdrawn.
The final selection will be made by the Scientific Committee that will determine the acceptance or rejection for each workshop. All submitters will be notified by email about the outcome (accepted or rejected). Please ensure that the email provided is accurate as all correspondences will be sent via email. If the workshop is accepted, further instructions about theformat, session, etc. will be provided.
The congress planning committee recognizes and values the contribution workshop presenters make towards a successful conference, but at the same time also recognize the need to ensure the congress is financially successful for all partners. With this in mind, the 2026 Workshop speaker benefits are summarized below.

- Workshop presenters are responsible for all aspects of their travel and accommodation.
- All workshop presenters who plan on attending the full congress must register and pay to attend to Congress by 1 October 2026.
- Congress management reserves the right to cancel workshops based on attendance levels.
